Insta Thot: Berry Lips and Glitter Eyes

If you have been on any social media platform lately you have seen all the posts about fall and all the things that come with it. Pumpkin spice lattes, scarves, leaves, needed a sweater in the morning and then being drenched in sweat by the afternoon. As soon as September my feed became flooded with Instagram thotties sporting warm smokey eyes and vampy berry colored lips, Starbucks cups in hand and and a slough of narcissistic hashtags. I, clearly never one to jump on a bandwagon grabbed the closest Insta thot I could find (in this case my sister) and gave her the exact same look.

I used warm browns and a burgundy color all over the crease and inner and outer corner to kind of create a halo effect and then I used an intense copper/gold glitter shadow right in the middle of the lid to make it pop. Also can we talk about how LIT the highlight is on the skin, Lupe hardly ever does glowy skin, typically opting for a matte finish but she loved the end result on the complexion! The deep berry colored lip ties the whole look together with the bit of red that is in the eye look and I think really compliments her. Now I will be honest right from the get go there are two products that are not drug store in this look and I am not going to pretend they are even remotely affordable. However I have not been able to find a dupe for either one and I notice a huge difference in the way foundation goes on the skin when I do not use them. I will point them out once we get to the skin portion of the product list and if you want to splurge some cosmetics I would highly recommend these two! Anyway enough rambling here are the products I used!

Eyes:
Milani Eye Shadow Primer $6.99- This is my trusty primer I use this every time I do makeup and it has never failed me! I used this all over the lid from lashline to brow bone to give the eyeshadow a base to stick to and prolong its wear
Makeup Revolution Professional Eyeshadow Palette in color New Trials Vs Neutrals $10- I stumbled across this brand in Ulta and am kinda obsessed this neutral eyeshadow palette is super pigmented and was only $10! I used the first eye shadow in the second row, a light beige color from lash line to brow bone to blank out the lid, highlight the brow bone.and help the other shadows blend better. Then I went into the 5th shadow on the 1st row, this warm brown color went into the crease with a fluffy domed eyeshadow brush and used windshield wiper motions until it was well blended. The 8th shadow in the first row I used to deepen the outer and inner corner of the eyes and help create the halo effect and leaving a blank space in the middle of the lid, this dark brown shadow was also used to smoke out the lower lash line. I did go back into the warm brown as well as 7th shadow on the first row, a burgundy color and went over that dark brown to warm it up and make it look less harsh. I took my time blending all these colors together until I was satisfied with how they looked.
Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow in Blaze- I used this glittery gold shadow in the empty space i had left on the middle of the lid.
Colour Pop Creme Gel Liner in No Shame- I only used this in the lower water line and brought it slightly on the loser lid to help smoke out the lower lash line
Lips:
Paladio Lip Pencil in Raisin-This was used to slightly over draw the lip as well as fill in the lip to give a base for the liquid lipstick
Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lacquer in Rebel-Used to fill the entire lip
Face:
These two products are not drugstore
Guerlain L'or Primer-Used as a primer to help smooth skin texture
Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Skin Liquid Lighting-Spread evenly across face to give skin a glow
Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation-Using a damp triangle sponge I stippled this all over the face evenly
LA girl Pro Conceal in Porcelain-I placed this under the eyes as well as some on the forehead and down the bridge of the nose to highlight. I blended it in with the same sponge i used for foundation. It has a slight peachy tint which made it great for covering up under eye circles.
ELF Contour Palette- The cool toned brown shade I swept under the cheekbones with an angled blush brush to define cheekbones and the warmer shade I used to bronze up the skin.
Milani Baked Blush in Fantastico Mauve- Swept on to the cheeks with a fluffy round brush and brought back following the contour to give a sculpted look. Also I'm a POS and realized this was discontued so I linked a very similar one by the same brand
Colour Pop Highlighter in Lunch Money- I used a fan brush to place this on the tops of the cheekbones as well as in Lupe's inner corner in her eyes to really bring light to that area
Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Golden Lights- This is one of the most intense highlighters I own and I am obsessed. I used the same fan brush to sweep this over the Colour Pop highlight and really intensify it. I also used a small eyeshadow brush to place it in the inner corner of the eye and it really gave that area some shine.
Nyx Brow Mascara in Black-Brushed through brows to help define them
Maybelline Dream Powder in Buff Beige- I used a big flat top brush to brush this all over the skin after I had already done all the contouring and blush to help blend everything in, set the under eye concealer and give the skin and airbrushed look
Pixi Glow Mist-I sprayed this all over the face after I was done with all the makeup and it gave the skin an over all glow and got rid of the powdery look from the foundation.
